Trust me, it's a great mantra...
And if any of your kids ever ask, "Why do I need to learn algebra anyway. No one in the real world uses it!" You can say, "That's not true. I know someone who does."
But, unlike in school, at least I get to use a calculator. Thank goodness for small favors....
I'm reminded of that commercial,
except that I didn't need the drugs to feel fried. Just algebra, and an inadequate teacher that, in spite of perhaps being moderately good at his job, sucks at teaching others how to do it...

LOL. I love your mantra! That's true...of course, since Rita N has been there for forever, she probably was trained when there wasn't much to do and was able to learn everything a little bit at a time. (What's those ancient Chinese mathematical things with the little wooden balls that they used to use to count...?) And one would even doubt that she even learned it, considering some of her projects. Oops...is that mean? My New Year's resolution is/was not to be mean. Shit, I ruined it already and it's not even the new year yet!
Anyway, have a great holiday, Jay. I wish you good health and happiness in the upcoming year.
