As I was preparing tonight's post, dear reader, I got the news in a CNN breaking news email, "Michael Jackson has died."Rest in Peace, King of Pop. You certainly had little enough in life...
You were an under-appreciated legend in your time.
You weren't perfect--who is? Half the things you were accused of we knew to be false, yet the media hung you out to dry anyway...
Everyone's taking control of me,
Seems that the world's got a role for me,
I'm so confused,
Will you show to me
You'll be there for me?
And care enough to bear me?
Your music will live on, and it will leave the world a better place. Thanks for the memories, Michael, and here's hoping you are now at peace.

On a slightly lighter note, how bad must our health care system be if we can't even keep our celebrities alive? Ed McMahon, Farah Fawcett, and MJ all in one week...?

hello jason! i am sorry but some of this blog i will disagree with. all 3 of these people had health insurance i am sure since they had enough money to do so. heck, the blonde went to other countries to look for a cure. most people can't even afford regular drugs in this country and to even think about going across the seas by plane to pay for other ways to cure yourself is not in the cards at all. mj had enough money to take his to many drugs. yes we need a health care system but a new health care system will not cure everything. i say when its your time its your time. mj like elvis and others who choose to get into this life of singing and acting or whatever and than they cry like big babies that they can't take life pressures and i need to take pills to feel better. cowboy or cowgirl up people! take some control of your own life and make the right choice for yourself. life is not always going to be pain free no matter how rich or famous you are. deal with life. well, i am sure we will hear about this death for at least the next week. and soon we will hear how mj is haunting something and the blonde is coming back as an angel. and who knows what ed is going to be. his death seem to take a back seat to the others. i am thinking mj is alive yet and is living someplace with elvis and that smith woman and whoever else on some secret island that they all go to. its funny how he died right before a new tour. well, i am going back at it and for sure will not be listening to any pop music because of his death but have fun listening to you pop music. even sylvia was listening to mj. i did something wrong with raising you and her. you both have mj cds. just shaking my head at this. how in the world did that happen?? love and prayers
